A six-month-old koala baby is the new star of Germany’s Duisburg Zoo.
The baby, whose parents are a French mother, born in Beauval Zoo in central France, and a father who came to Duisburg direct from Australia, does not yet have a name.
The zoo is asking the public to vote for one of three options on itsFacebook page. The three proposed names come from the Eora Aborigine language: Barani (‘yesterday’), Woomera (‘spear-thrower’) and Yiribana (‘this way’).
