Twin Koalas Reunited At Wildlife Wonderland

If only twin baby koalas could speak, Kialla and Tahilla would have much to catch up on.

But, since they can’t, they contented themselves with merely snuggling together instead.

The five-month-old sisters have been separated since July after zookeepers at Australia’s Wildlife Wonderland Park in Victoria became concerned over their mother’s treatment of Kialla.

Reunited: Twin baby koalas Kialla and Tahilla are together again after their mother rejected Kialla as she had no room in her pouch.

I heart you: The pair appeared to have no problem in bonding, despite their separation.

Twin koalas are so rare that records show only four sets have ever been born.

Unfortunately koalas are not built for twins, and zookeepers became concerned after Kialla was rejected by her mother due to a lack of room in her pouch.

The baby has been handreared by zookeepers ever since, only just being reunited with her sister Tahilla after Tahilla emerged from their mother’s pouch.

Kialla didn’t appear to hold any grudges as the two cuddled together happily this week.

Koala twins have only been born four times in recorded history, making the fluffy pair’s reunion all the more rare and special. They are the first born in Australia in 49 years.
