Koala Extinction Imminent In Parts Of South-East Queensland, Report Warns


The South East Queensland Koala Population Modeling Study audit, a report covering almost 10,000 square kilometers, was given to the State Government last August.

More than 80 per cent of the koala populace has vanished on the Koala Coast, in and around Brisbane, since 1996, the report found.

The report likewise discovered more than 50 per cent of the koala population had vanished in the Pine Rivers district north of Brisbane amid the same period.
